-Organic Mushrooms.
(Choose Organic since Mushrooms are very porous and easily absorb chemicals from soil).
-Mushrooms are a fungus that is actually the fruit of Mycelium, which is a cellular network within soil that breaks down rocks and organic matter to make soil.
-Mushrooms are approx 90% water, but the remaining 10% is loaded with Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Selenium, Zinc, B Vitamins, and Vitamin D2 (precusor to D3).
-Can enhance your immune system and the glutathione content helps your body to detoxify.
-Have anti-inflammatory properties and can inhibit angiogenesis which means they can inhibit fat cell growth and also starve cancer cells.
-Numerous types of Mushrooms are sold, and generally more rare = more expensive & more health benefits.
-White, Cremini (Baby Bella), Portobello, Oyster, Shiitake and Reishi Mushrooms have all been shown to have anti-cancer effects.
-Mushrooms are powerful Aromatase (aka Estrogen Synthase) Inhibitors, to help you lower bad estrogens and help prevent estrogens from stimulating breast tissue.
(Mushrooms with highest anti-aromatase activity: White Button, White Stuffing, Cremini, Portobello, Reishi, & Maitake.)
One study showed that women consuming at least one small mushroom each day had a 64% decreased risk of breast cancer. When also adding Green Tea daily, the risk of breast cancer decreased by 89% (in premenopausal women) and 82% (in postmenopausal women).

Can incorporate raw or cooked Mushrooms into any Salad, sautée, Stir-Fry, Pizza, soup, or vegetable dish.
-Best to store in a paper bag in the fridge, and quickly rinse off any dirt before use.
*Excessive consumption can exacerbate kidney stones or gout for those that are sensitive to Purines.*
