PantryPic #598: Green Tea

-Organic Green Tea.
-Green Tea consists of leaves that have not been fermented, so they contain the highest level of antioxidants.
-One incredible antioxidant, epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), is nearly 100x more potent than Vitamin C and Vitamin E.
-EGCG can help with weight loss by mobilizing fat, boosting thermogenesis, and suppressing appetite.
-Health benefits include protection against cancer, diabetes, and cell damage in the brain, liver, and skin.

-Choose Organic Green Tea that is brewed from tea bags, loose tea, or a K-Cup
(since bottled Green Tea contains very little EGCG).
-Great to include while fasting if practicing an Intermittent Fasting Protocol.
-Consider adding some fresh lemon juice for a boost of Vitamin C (when not fasting).
-Seek out caffeine-free Green Tea if you have trouble metabolizing caffeine or when consuming before bed.
-For an even healthier Green Tea experience, spring for some Matcha Tea.
